In September last year Mr Butler and Mr Trimble prepared a submission to the Commonwealth Department of Education’s ‘Local Schools Community Fund’. We were advised by Mr Ben Morton MP in December that we were successful with our application and would be funded $10,490 toward the “Brentwood Coding and Robotics Adventure”. The school will also add additional funding. The project is designed to allow Mr Butler to team teach with classroom teachers and implement coding and robotics curriculum to all students, K-6. Participating classrooms for Term One are Rooms 13, 8, 4 and 9. Other classrooms will get opportunities next term and for the rest of the year. Mr Butler will be using Lego WeDo and ‘BOOST’ robots to teach
